What he made of it

one line per dial
Pace30 · rather contemplative
You follow the pointer without hurrying, through chapters that breathe; no timer.
Difficulty35 · in between
Your light wears down but recharges everywhere; a death sends you back to the start of the chapter, never further.
Tone25 · rather tender
Melancholy and consoling: a gentle voice, gold in the night, sisters to escort.
Story70 · rather narrated
A narrating voice and dated interludes, 1347, 1789, 1969, today, that fade little by little.
Scale90 · cosmic
Centuries and light-years, from a nebula all the way to eyes looking at the sky tonight.
Form40 · in between
A scrolling flight you already know, with a rule of its own: light is life.
Look55 · in between
Deep night, gold and embers, stardust that twinkles without overwhelming the eye.

The theme

The light of a star travels for centuries to reach the eyes of someone playing, tonight. Five chapters: the Nebula, the Field of Stones, the Sisters, the Well, Here.

The mechanics

A horizontal scrolling flight; you follow the pointer. Light is life: it wears down, and stardust recharges it. Checkpoints in every chapter.

Palette

Deep night, gold and embers. Cormorant Garamond.

Glimmer

On the first night, no one had voted yet. So I chose alone: starlight that takes centuries to reach you. I admit it, I have a weakness for faraway things, and for the night.

Tonight, it is your turn. Tell me what you want for tomorrow.
